Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Support the Advisory and Solutions Manager, project managers and other senior personnel in delivering consultancy assignments to the agreed scope, schedule, cost and quality requirements.
  • Support the Advisory and Solutions Manager in identifying client challenges and developing tailored consulting solutions across ABL’s service lines.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings as required and maintain clear records of actions and outcomes.
  • Contribute to tenders, proposals and technical submissions, including scope definition, assumptions, exclusions, deliverables, resourcing inputs and technical write-ups.
  • Assist with market research, regulatory review, technology tracking and opportunity screening to support strategic advisory and consultancy growth.
  • Support client engagement activities, including preparation of meeting materials, presentations, capability statements and follow-up actions.
  • Develop strong internal knowledge of ABL’s competencies, organisational structure and capabilities across Singapore, APAC and the wider ABL Group.
  • Progressively learn and undertake work across multiple business lines, including offshore consulting, marine assurance, maritime decarbonisation and energy transition.
  • Develop and maintain spreadsheets, calculation tools and software applications to improve project efficiency, consistency and quality.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and support resource coordination, knowledge transfer and lessons learned as required.
  • Prepare technical reports, engineering notes, presentations and client-ready deliverables, ensuring accuracy, clarity and fitness for purpose.
  • Support onshore, offshore, shipyard and client-site attendances when directed, including inspection, MWS support, audits, vessel attendance and project meetings.
  • Assist with engineering reviews associated with offshore transportation, installation, lifting, loadout, seafastening, dry transport, marine operations, vessel assurance and offshore advisory assignments.
  • Undertake independent calculations, technical checks, modelling, data analysis and research to support project deliverables.
  • Maintain detailed logbooks documenting progress, focusing on achieving the objectives set by the UK Engineering Council for Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.
  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • And other duties as assigned.
  • Always comply with the company QHSE policies, manuals, procedures, work systems and regulations at ABL premises, projects and client sites.
