Software Engineer – Digital Systems

Job Summary

We are looking for a Software Engineer to develop, maintain, and support the company’s digital systems, including hotel software, automation tools, bots, and internal applications.

The candidate will work closely with the operations team to improve work processes and develop practical technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain company software and internal applications.
• Support Property Management Systems, Revenue Management Systems, and hotel-related software.
• Develop and maintain RPA bots, Python scripts, and automated workflows.
• Integrate systems using APIs and databases.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and data-processing tools.
• Troubleshoot software, system, and bot-related issues.
• Test new systems and ensure they operate correctly before implementation.
• Maintain system documentation, source code, and user guides.
• Provide technical support and training to employees.
• Work with external software vendors and developers when required.
• Protect company data, passwords, system access, and confidential information.
• Identify manual processes that can be improved through automation.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least two years of relevant experience in software development, automation, or system support.
• Knowledge of Python, SQL, APIs, databases, and web application development.
• Experience with UiPath, RPA, AppSheet, or other automation platforms will be an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to understand business requirements and develop practical solutions.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Responsible, organised, proactive, and willing to learn new technologies.

Preferred Experience

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:

• Hotels, hospitality, or hotel software companies.
• Property Management Systems and Revenue Management Systems.
• Channel managers, booking engines, and online travel agency integrations.
• RPA, Python automation, APIs, dashboards, and internal business applications.
