Mechanical & Electrical Coordinator – Job Scope1. Project Coordination
- Coordinate all M&E works with civil, structural, and architectural teams.
- Review M&E drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Resolve design conflicts and site coordination issues.
- Attend project coordination and progress meetings.
2. Site Supervision
- Supervise daily M&E installation works on site.
- Ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and project schedule.
- Monitor subcontractors' performance and workmanship.
- Verify material deliveries and proper storage on site.
3. Quality Control
- Inspect completed M&E installations.
- Ensure compliance with project quality standards and relevant codes.
- Prepare inspection requests (IR) and coordinate inspections with consultants and clients.
- Identify and rectify defects or non-conformance issues.
4. Progress Monitoring
- Track project progress against the construction schedule.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
- Identify delays and propose recovery plans.
- Coordinate procurement of M&E materials and equipment.
5. Testing & Commissioning
- Coordinate testing and commissioning activities.
- Witness functional tests of M&E systems.
- Ensure all systems meet design and operational requirements.
- Prepare commissioning documentation and handover records.
6. Safety Compliance
- Ensure M&E works comply with site safety regulations.
- Conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings.
- Report hazards, incidents, and unsafe work practices.
- Promote safe working procedures among subcontractors.
7. Documentation
- Maintain site records, daily reports, and inspection records.
- Review method statements and risk assessments.
- Prepare as-built drawings with the drafting team.
- Compile operation and maintenance (O&M) manuals and project handover documents.
8. Stakeholder Communication
- Liaise with clients, consultants, authorities, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Coordinate site inspections with regulatory authorities where required.
- Respond to technical queries and Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Support project managers in resolving technical issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, gas systems, etc.).
- Coordinate electrical systems (power distribution, lighting, ELV, CCTV, access control, fire alarm, generators, UPS, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, project specifications, and industry standards.
- Manage subcontractors to achieve quality, safety, cost, and schedule objectives.
Pay: From RM3,000.00 per month
