Position : Software Tester
Location : Kuala Lumpur (nearby MRT Merdeka)
Working Hours : Monday - Friday / 8.30am - 5.30pm
Contract Duration : 6 months (renewable based on performance)

Job description

• Write, design and execute test plans including creating test scenario and detail test scripts manually and upload to the scripts to the automation tool.
• Conduct meeting with business users to review test scenario for better understanding of the scope of projects and business requirements.
• Design test plan for System Integration Test (“SIT”) activities, based on defined testing scopes.
• Working with system developers and/or vendors to ensure readiness of test environments.
• Verify the functionality of applications and software systems are according to the requirements.
• Prepare test data either manually or using the automation facilities.
• Conducting stress testing, performance testing, functional testing, regression testing and scalability testing.
• Compiling and summarizing variance reports.
• Monitoring bug fixing progress and compile testing artifacts.
• Working towards departmental and project deadlines.
• Quality assurance.
• Providing objective feedback to system development teams.
• Working on multiple projects at one time.
• Work closely with Business Analyst, business user tester and developers to investigate testing issue solutions.
• Walkthrough session for stakeholders.
• Prepare To-Be document – documentation for the screen(s) involved during SIT.
• Other duties may be assigned.
• Deliverables:
• Test Script sign off documents.
• SIT test plan, test result and sign off document.
• Testing statistic reports for daily updates.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related degree.
• Four to seven years of experience in developing test strategies, test plans, test cases, preparing and loading test data, and creating test scenarios.
• More than two years of financial industry experience.
• Minimum one (1) year experience in design and coding of test automation. Experience with commercial test automation software packages and creating custom test automation is a plus.
• Possesses certification related to testing such as Certified Testers Foundation Level (CTFL) is an advantage.
• Experience working with MS SQL & Oracle and the ability to write simple to moderate SQL queries is preferred.
• Experienced in Test Management Tools (JIRA, HPQC, etc).
• Experience in API & webservice testing.
• Knowledge in performance test (Jmeter), Agile process, Robot Framework & Test Project will be added advantage.
• Experience in a variety of testing such as Function, Boundary, Exception, Penetration, Integration Test, System Test, and Regression Testing.
• Proven ability to successfully work with other team members across departments and levels of authority.
• Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to read communication styles of team members and clients who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines.
• Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
• Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
• Flexible during times of change and ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
• Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of tasks, under minimal direction, on multiple projects.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment and ability to manage development team from different country.
• Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and debugging skills.
