Role Description The Principal Engineer role is a full-time, hybrid position based in WP Kuala Lumpur, with flexibility for partial work from home. This role is responsible for leading the technical design and architecture of enterprise-scale solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and best practices in software engineering and cloud technologies. The Principal Engineer will oversee end-to-end solution delivery, guide implementation efforts, and provide hands-on support in areas such as software development, integration, automation, and performance optimization. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, mentoring engineers, performing code and design reviews, and setting engineering standards and guidelines. The role also involves evaluating new tools and platforms, contributing to technology roadmaps, and working closely with stakeholders to support digital transformation initiatives across multiple client environments.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong solution architecture and software engineering skills, including experience designing scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise applications.
• Candidates should possess skills in cloud computing and infrastructure, such as working with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization, and deployment automation.
• Candidates should possess expertise in software development practices, including modern programming languages, APIs, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Candidates should possess capabilities in testing and quality assurance, including automation testing, performance testing, and integration testing.
• Candidates should possess experience in IT consulting and digital transformation, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and roadmaps.
• Candidates should possess strong leadership and collaboration skills, including mentoring teams, managing stakeholders, and working effectively in cross-cultural environments.
• Candidates should possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a focus on clear documentation and decision-making.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
• Experience in enterprise solutions, managed services, or large-scale IT initiatives within consulting or Fortune-level organizations is highly beneficial.
