LEM Hiring! Full Time Manufacturing Excellence Engineer (Manufacturing processes - Projects) in Pulau Pinang - Ricebowl

Manufacturing Excellence Engineer leads and supports global initiatives focused on manufacturing process development, process change & optimization including digital transformation across our electronics manufacturing sites.

Focus is on standardizing best-in-class manufacturing practices, deploying smart factory technologies, and igniting cross-site collaboration to enhance engagement, efficiency, quality, and agility.

Job Descriptions:

• Participate in the definition and implementation of habits of improvement via the Blue-board in all the company manufacturing sites.
• Facilitate cross-functional workshops and training sessions to promote a culture of continuous improvement and digital literacy (blue board & other initiatives).
• Participate in the definition and implementation of the LEM production system maturity matrix in all the company manufacturing sites.
• Integrate best practices into global standards & LEM production system.
• Continuously reduce manufacturing lead-time with habits of improvement and the LEM production system including value stream mapping and process simulations.
• Lead and coordinate global manufacturing process improvement projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and operational KPIs.
• Standardize and harmonize core manufacturing processes across all production sites to ensure consistency and scalability aiming operational excellence.
• Owns and acts as coach in the development and deployment of digital dashboards and real-time performance monitoring tools.
• Drive the implementation of digital manufacturing initiatives, including MES, IoT, data analytics, and smart factory initiatives.
• Collaborate with site teams to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for digital enablement.
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
• Manage UL certification for new products & product changes within the company.

Job Requirements:

• Leading multi-site projects and deploying digital manufacturing solutions (e.g., MES, IIoT, data analytics).
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with Industry 4.0 technologies and smart factory concepts.
• Analytical mindset with experience in data analysis tools (Excel, Minitab, Power BI, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Familiarity with quality systems and standards in production environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
• Ability to dive into detail balanced with ability to step back for a big picture lens
• Excellent ability to introduce change
• Comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty
• Strong project management or product background to cope with UL product certification.
