Role Description The Document Controller role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The role is responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining project-related documents in accordance with company procedures and industry standards. Day-to-day tasks include receiving, registering, tracking, and distributing technical and project documentation, ensuring version control and proper archiving. The Document Controller collaborates with engineering, project management, and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of accurate documents, and supports compliance with internal and external audit requirements. The role also involves updating document control systems, preparing reports on documentation status, and promoting consistent documentation practices across projects.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Document Management and Document Control Management, with the ability to maintain structured and accessible filing systems.
- Experience in Documentation and Project Documentation, including handling engineering, technical, and contractual records.
- Proficiency in Records Management, including archiving, retention, retrieval, and compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Effective Communication skills for coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring accurate dissemination of information.
- Familiarity with electronic document management systems (EDMS) and standard office software tools.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and a methodical approach to work.
- Experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, or engineering project environments is an advantage.
- Relevant diploma or degree in engineering, information management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
