Job Description

Responsibilities

Sisko Aerospace LLP operates at the intersection of advanced software engineering and agile aerospace manufacturing to support Singapore’s national security and technological sovereignty. The company focuses on building defense capabilities that are faster, leaner, and more effective than legacy acquisition models. By integrating heavy aerospace systems with modern software practices, Sisko Aerospace seeks to deliver a decisive edge without unnecessary cost. Its approach leverages intelligent software pipelines, simulation environments, and indigenous hardware manufacturing to demonstrate that world-class defense readiness can be achieved efficiently and sustainably.

Role Description The Head Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Singapore, responsible for leading end-to-end engineering efforts across aerospace systems and supporting software platforms. This role oversees system architecture, design reviews, and technical roadmaps, ensuring alignment with mission-critical defense objectives and regulatory requirements. The Head Engineer will guide multidisciplinary engineering teams, establish best practices for testing and validation, and coordinate with manufacturing and operations to move designs from concept to production. Day-to-day work includes setting technical priorities, mentoring engineers, resolving complex integration issues, and collaborating with leadership to scope new projects and evaluate emerging technologies. The role also involves building robust engineering processes, managing vendor and partner relationships, and driving continuous improvement in performance, safety, and reliability.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in aerospace, mechanical, or systems engineering, with demonstrated experience leading complex engineering programs.
  • Proficiency in systems design, integration, and validation, including familiarity with simulation tools, modeling, and test methodologies.
  • Experience collaborating with software engineering teams on embedded systems, control algorithms, or mission-critical software pipelines.
  • Knowledge of defense, aviation, or aerospace regulatory standards and safety practices, preferably within a highly secure or classified environment.
  • Ability to lead and mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams, with strong communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience in manufacturing collaboration, design-for-production, and supplier or partner management in hardware-focused organizations.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or related field); advanced degrees or professional certifications are an advantage.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment with a high degree of accountability and on-site presence in Singapore.
