Job Description

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Senior Project Controller to support the successful delivery of projects by providing comprehensive project controls across planning, scheduling, cost management, financial administration, contract management, and performance reporting. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with contractual and client requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules, resource plans, budgets, and project controls to ensure alignment with project objectives and client requirements.
  • Prepare and analyse project performance reports, providing timely insights on schedule, cost, progress, risks, and resource utilisation to support informed decision-making.
  • Coordinate project planning, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting activities to ensure project performance is effectively monitored throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage project financial administration, including cost tracking, invoicing support, budget monitoring, change management, and financial forecasting.
  • Support contract administration by monitoring contractual obligations, deliverables, variations, and commercial risks.
  • Identify project risks, schedule variances, and cost impacts, and work collaboratively with project teams to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure project control processes, reporting standards, and governance requirements are consistently applied across projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, technical teams, finance, and clients to ensure timely delivery of project milestones and high-quality project outcomes.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project controls processes, reporting systems, and best practices across the business.


Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in project controls, project planning, scheduling, cost control, or project management within the engineering, infrastructure, construction, or consultancy industry. Candidates with relevant experience below five years are also encouraged to apply.
  • Demonstrated experience in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and project performance reporting.
  • Sound understanding of project management principles, commercial practices, contract administration, and risk management.
  • Experience preparing project reports, financial forecasts, and performance dashboards for project stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to independently manage project control activities while supporting multiple concurrent projects of varying complexity.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with internal teams, clients, and external partners.
