Job Description

  • Provide first-level technical support to academic and administrative staff, students, and campus users through the IT helpdesk and ticketing system.
  • Manage and resolve IT support requests within the established Service Level Agreement (SLA), ensuring timely response and resolution.
  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot campus network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, switches, routers, and internet connectivity.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Public Address (PA) systems, Audio Visual (AV) equipment, projectors, smart classrooms, and video conferencing systems.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and repair desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT peripherals.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections of IT infrastructure to ensure system reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets, support activities, maintenance logs, and technical documentation.
  • Diagnose hardware, software, network, and system-related issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of IT security policies, backup procedures, antivirus protection, and system updates.
  • Support server, storage, and network infrastructure under the supervision of the IT Manager.
  • Conduct on-site technical support across university facilities, including classrooms, offices, laboratories, examination halls, and event venues.
  • Assist in setting up and providing technical support for university events, seminars, examinations, graduations, conferences, and official functions.
  • Develop user guides and provide basic IT training and technical assistance to staff and students when required.


Requirement

  • Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's Degree holders are encouraged to apply.
  • Fresh Graduates are also encouraged to app;y.
  • Minimum one (1) to two (2) years of experience in IT support, networking, system administration, or a related field is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of computer hardware, software, and Windows operating systems.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, DHCP, DNS, VLAN, routers, and switches.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Windows Server, and Active Directory.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues efficiently and effectively.
