JOB DESCRIPTION
The company’s Finance / Operations Internship programme aims to provide internships that are fulfilling, as well as hands-on learning experiences in real-world financial function. The intern will be exposed to the broad spectrum of financial, operational and accounting matters for companies as well as for funds.
PROFILE
• Analytical and inquisitive mind
• Ability to multi-task with a positive attitude towards learning new skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with emphasis on Excel skills.
• Team player.
LEARNING SCOPE:
1) Financial Control
• Full set of monthly accounts and financial reports for the company.
• Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables functions.
• Ensure effective cash management between various bank accounts.
• Preparation of periodical reports to various stakeholders e.g. regulatory reporting to MAS, shareholders, various regulatory authorities.
• Handle routine regulatory reporting, opening of bank accounts, ad-hoc clients’ requests and to assist in the daily operations of the funds.
• Assist in managing and coordinating compliance and regulatory requirements involving auditors, corporate secretary, tax advisors.
2) Middle-office Operations
• Assist in monitoring and preparation of trade settlement.
3) Fund Operations
• Assist in reviewing reports prepared by the Fund Administrator, including bank reconciliations, financial statements and financial schedules.
• Assist in reviewing the accuracy and completeness of client’s capital statements.
• Assist in the administering of the Fund structure including tax incentive application e.g. S13U.
JOB REQUIREMENTS / PRE-REQUISITES
· Polytechnic / University students and undergraduates pursuing Degree in Accounting, Business Administration and related discipline.
· The internship is for the period of 3 to 6 months. Commitment for a part-time internship will also be considered.
· Only Singapore citizens, Singapore Permanent Residents or Student Pass holders studying full time in a local institution.
