Job Description & Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Vessel Management: Coordinate the day-to-day management of assigned vessels, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
• Crew Management: Plan crew deployment, rotations, sign-on/sign-off arrangements, and oversee the welfare, certification, and performance of Masters, officers, and crew members.
• Vessel Licensing & Compliance: Manage the renewal and validity of vessel licences, statutory certificates, permits, and other regulatory documentation. Liaise with the Maritime and Port Authority (MPA), classification societies, flag administrations, and relevant authorities to ensure full compliance.
• Crew Certification: Monitor and maintain the validity of crew certificates, endorsements, medical examinations, visas, and mandatory training in accordance with international and flag state requirements.
• Reporting & Coordination: Prepare operational, crewing, and compliance reports. Coordinate closely with technical, operations, commercial, and finance teams to support vessel operations.
• Budget & Cost Control: Monitor crewing and vessel-related operating expenses, ensuring cost-effective planning while maintaining operational standards.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable maritime regulations, including MLC, STCW, ISM Code, and company policies.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in any discipline. Candidates with maritime-related qualifications will have an advantage.
• Minimum 3–5 years of shore-based experience in ship management, vessel operations, or crew management.
• Good knowledge of vessel operations, crew administration, statutory vessel certification, and maritime regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with MPA requirements, flag state regulations, and classification society procedures.
• Strong organizational, communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
