About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly driven Associate Director – Cyber Security to lead and strengthen the security posture of our global software and cloud platforms. This role will serve as the organization's cybersecurity subject matter expert and trusted advisor, working closely with global customers across telecommunications, government agencies, and enterprise organizations.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in defining security strategies, managing cyber risks, enhancing cloud security architecture, and driving proactive threat intelligence and incident response initiatives. This position requires a strong technical background, strategic thinking, and the ability to engage senior stakeholders and customers on cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Security Strategy & Governance
- Lead and continuously enhance the security posture of enterprise platforms, cloud environments, and deployment architectures.
- Define and oversee cybersecurity controls and requirements across all customer deployments.
- Serve as the primary cybersecurity subject matter expert for global customers and stakeholders.
- Advise customers on cybersecurity best practices, standards, and frameworks including CIS, OWASP, ISO 27001/27002/27017/27018, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, SOC, NIST, and IM8.
Cloud & Infrastructure Security
- Architect and recommend end-to-end security solutions covering applications, infrastructure, and network security.
- Provide guidance on public and private cloud security technologies, including:Web Application Firewalls (WAF)Virtual FirewallsAnti-DDoS SolutionsIntrusion Prevention/Detection Systems (IPS/IDS)Deep Packet Inspection (DPI)
- Assess and secure AI infrastructure environments, including GPU platforms, high-performance storage, and associated networks.
- Oversee implementation, monitoring, and enhancement of security controls that protect systems, networks, and critical data.
Threat Intelligence & Incident Response
- Lead cyber threat monitoring, threat hunting, intelligence gathering, and emerging threat analysis.
- Research attack tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), threat actor behaviours, and cybersecurity trends.
- Produce actionable security intelligence reports and recommendations for stakeholders.
- Serve as a key member of the incident response team, supporting investigation, containment, remediation, and recovery activities.
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders during security incidents and crisis situations.
- Drive improvements to cyber situational awareness and resilience across enterprise environments.
Risk & Security Operations
- Support security-related design reviews, solution integration, testing, and compliance initiatives.
- Participate in change management processes to ensure security requirements are addressed.
- Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to implement security countermeasures and strengthen defenses.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to colleagues while promoting cybersecurity awareness and best practices across the organization.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of cybersecurity experience, including incident detection, incident response, digital forensics, threat intelligence, or security operations.
- Experience supporting enterprise applications hosted in cloud and hybrid environments.
- Proven experience engaging with enterprise customers, government organizations, or regulated industries.
Technical Expertise
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in:
