We are seeking an experienced Programme Director to lead a large-scale Core Banking Transformation Programme for a leading financial institution. This strategic leadership role will be responsible for driving end-to-end programme delivery across multiple workstreams, stakeholders, and geographies, ensuring successful transformation of the bank's core banking platform while meeting business, regulatory, and operational objectives.

The successful candidate will bring strong programme leadership capabilities, extensive banking transformation experience, and deep understanding of the Hong Kong banking landscape and regulatory environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, governance, and execution of a large-scale Core Banking Transformation Programme.
• Manage programme delivery across multiple countries, business units, and technology teams.
• Establish and maintain programme governance, reporting, risk management, and stakeholder engagement frameworks.
• Drive collaboration between business, technology, operations, risk, compliance, and external vendors.
• Manage executive-level stakeholders, including C-suite and steering committees.
• Oversee programme budgets, timelines, resources, and delivery outcomes.
• Ensure regulatory, compliance, and risk requirements are embedded throughout the programme lifecycle.
• Lead change management, business readiness, and adoption activities.
• Identify and mitigate programme risks, dependencies, and issues.
• Drive strategic decision-making to ensure successful programme outcomes and realization of business benefits.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading large-scale banking transformation programmes with significant budget, complexity, and organisational impact.
  
• Extensive experience delivering Core Banking Transformation initiatives, including platform migration, modernization, or replacement programmes.
• Strong regional programme management experience across multiple markets within Asia Pacific.
• Deep understanding of the Hong Kong banking sector, including market practices, operational considerations, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and expectations from the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) and associated compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior executives and key stakeholders.
• Strong vendor management and third-party delivery experience.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken), fluent in Cantonese is highly advantageous.
• Experience working with leading core banking platforms (e.g., Temenos, T24, Finacle, Oracle FLEXCUBE, Thought Machine, Mambu, or equivalent).
• Experience in retail, commercial, and/or corporate banking transformation programmes.
