Naval Group designs,builds, integrates, provides in-service support, dismantles, and deconstructs submarine and surface ships. As an industrial contractor, designer, and overall integrator of whole warships and combat systems, it also offers a full range of services to naval bases and shipyards. We are a prime contractor, designer, and integrator of naval systems, with over 400 years of experience in naval shipbuilding. The wholly-owned subsidiary, Naval Group Far East has established in Singapore since 2005 and plays a crucial role in supporting the activities of the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN).

Within the Technical Department, you will play a key role in supporting the following activities:

Job Summary

Maintain and repair automation machinery on vessels, perform diagnostic and software troubleshooting on shipmanagement systems, assist in navigational equipment installation, and ensure compliance with regulations and QHSE policies.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair automation machinery on board vessels to ensure operational reliability
  • Perform diagnostic checks on automated systems to identify faults and optimize performance
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of navigational equipment to support vessel operations
  • Conduct system software checks and update ship management systems to maintain functionality
  • Troubleshoot software issues on ship management systems to restore system integrity
  • Monitor project progress and maintain project schedules to ensure timely completion
  • Ensure compliance with relevant government regulations and company QHSE policies to uphold safety and quality standards
  • Interpret electronic, PLC ladder, and system functional diagrams to support maintenance and troubleshooting activities

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Knowledge and skills in Electronics/Electrical
  • Experience in marine navigational or electronic systems is advantageous
  • Willingness to work on-site and commute to both Eastern and Western Regions of Singapore to support operations
  • Willingness to work in a shipyard environment and undergo security checks
