Job Summary

Dignity Kitchen would like to invite local residents and PRs to apply for the post of Central Kitchen Cook. The job is to prepare and assist in cooking meals following food preparation guidelines while maintaining hygiene, portion control, and kitchen cleanliness in a central kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare mise-en-place and assist in cooking according to the Food Preparation Guide to ensure consistent food quality
• Monitor portion sizes and control food waste to optimize kitchen resources
• Maintain food hygiene standards and ensure proper portion control and presentation of dishes
• Assist in managing inventory and stock levels to ensure sufficient supplies for daily operations
• Maintain overall kitchen hygiene and cleanliness to comply with health and safety standards
• Dispose of and store food items and waste properly to prevent contamination and maintain safety
• Perform additional kitchen duties as assigned to support smooth kitchen operations

Other Information

Working Hours:

• 6 days per week: Monday to Saturday, 7am to 5pm in 8-hour shifts
• Closed on Sundays and public holidays
