Role
To assist Head Chef in supervising the various work sections in the Kitchen and responsible for the management of the overall pastry operations. Other responsibilities include managing budget and costs achieving the highest standards of quality and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Develops, designs, or creates new ideas for pastry kitchen.
• Manage and prepare all aspects of the pastry operation.
• Ensure all food and pastry preparation is according to the standard set by the Head Chef.
• Assist the Head Chef in planning menus, daily specials and promotions.
• Estimate food and pastry consumption and prepares requisitions, and ensure quality.
• To purchase appropriate supplies and manage inventories according to budget.
• Manage costs by minimizing spoilage, maintaining adequate inventory of food and pastry, utilizing food and pastry surpluses
• Provides specific guidance to the team members including prioritizing, planning, organizing
• Coordinating with team members and other department accomplish a smooth daily operations work.
• Use interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage team members; make sound business decision making; demonstrates honesty and integrity.
• Assist Head Chef to evaluate performance of the team members.
• Assist and recommend Head Chef in planning and conducting staff training such as preparation methods.
• Ensure all kitchen equipment and utensils are clean and in working condition at all times.
• Ensure safety and compliance are in accordance to the rules and regulations.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Head Chef or Management.
