We are partnered with an established financial institution to look for a Software Engineering Lead. This is a permanent role based in Singapore.

In this role, you will lead a high performing development squad responsible for enhancing and scaling a core, real time trading platform. You will balance hands on technical architecture with team leadership, driving the execution of mission critical features for global market operations.

Main Responsibilities

• Guide the technical direction and architectural design for a core execution platform, ensuring high performance and system resilience.
• Lead a team of talented software engineers, offering technical mentorship, conducting code reviews, and unblocking daily development challenges.
• Partner closely with product owners, quantitative analysts, and global technology leads to translate complex business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Oversee end to end feature delivery, driving best practices in continuous integration, automated testing, and release management.
• Identify and execute performance optimization strategies for low latency data processing and real time web applications.

Key Requirements

• At least 10 years of software development experience, with deep expertise across modern frontend frameworks (such as React, Redux, or RxJS) and robust backend environments (Java, Spring framework).
• Strong background in Capital Markets, Investment Banking, or Electronic Trading, with exposure to derivative products.
• Hands on experience designing high throughput, event driven platforms using tools like message queues (e.g., Kafka) and distributed datastores.
• Solid grasp of streaming protocols, RESTful APIs, and WebSockets for real time data delivery.
• Proven experience leading agile engineering teams, driving technical roadmaps, and establishing solid engineering practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
