Job Summary

Manage end-to-end procurement and logistics to support SolarGy’s project execution by sourcing materials cost-effectively, ensuring quality compliance, and coordinating timely delivery with suppliers and project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for PV components, equipment, and related materials to meet project needs
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to secure cost-effective procurement
  • Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) following company procedures to ensure compliance
  • Verify procured items meet technical specifications, quality standards, and project requirements
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers to ensure reliable supply
  • Monitor supplier performance on cost, quality, and delivery reliability and resolve supply issues such as delays and defects
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and documentation for audit and traceability
  • Collaborate with Project and Operations teams to plan and fulfill material requirements for ongoing and urgent projects
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and track material issuance to ensure proper cost allocation and accountability
  • Manage loan stock by ensuring timely return and proper reconciliation
  • Plan and coordinate logistics to ensure timely delivery aligned with project schedules
  • Consolidate shipments and optimize delivery planning to reduce costs and carbon footprint
  • Manage import/export processes including shipment documentation and customs clearance
  • Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery execution and avoid storage charges

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field
  • 1–2 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain roles
  • Experience in construction, electrical, or metal works industry
  • Strong negotiation and cost management skills demonstrated through supplier contract discussions
  • High attention to detail and strong documentation discipline to maintain procurement records
  • Analytical capability for cost comparison and supplier evaluation to support sourcing decisions
  • Effective coordination and communication skills to collaborate with project teams and suppliers
