About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Vice President, Technology Audit to support the Head of Technology Audit in Singapore in overseeing the Technology Audit function under a unified audit framework. This role is responsible for delivering independent, risk-based assurance and advisory services across technology, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, application development, enterprise technology, data, and emerging AI risks.
Working across four regulated entities, you will play a key role in driving the technology audit strategy, leading complex audit engagements, supporting regulatory initiatives, and partnering with senior stakeholders to strengthen the organisation's technology risk and control environment.
This is a 6-month contract opportunity based in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Singapore Head of Technology Audit in managing the overall Technology Audit function across four regulated entities within the organisation.
- Lead and oversee the delivery of end-to-end technology audit engagements, including risk assessments, audit planning, fieldwork, reporting, issue validation, thematic reviews, and regulatory-driven assignments.
- Coordinate and manage Technology Audit activities across the non-banking entities while contributing to the consolidated annual audit plan.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to audit team members by reviewing audit approaches, evaluating audit evidence, and ensuring the quality and consistency of audit findings and recommendations.
- Assess enterprise-wide technology risks across cybersecurity, cloud and infrastructure, application development, enterprise technology processes, data management, and AI-related risks.
- Develop practical, risk-based audit strategies that effectively address key technology and operational risks.
- Support technology audit advisory activities for major technology transformation initiatives by providing independent reviews of control design, cybersecurity, architecture, access management, operational resilience, testing readiness, and go-live governance.
- Assist in managing multiple audit priorities, regulatory requests, emerging technology risks, issue validation activities, and cross-functional dependencies.
- Contribute to resource planning, audit scheduling, workload allocation, and the ongoing development and coaching of Technology Audit team members.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment while supporting succession planning and capability development.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior management, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Group Audit, external auditors, Boards, Audit Committees, and regulators.
- Promote the adoption of data analytics, automation, and AI-enabled audit techniques to enhance audit effectiveness and strengthen assurance over AI governance, model risk, data, cybersecurity, third-party risk, and human oversight.
- Act as deputy to the Singapore Head of Technology Audit when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Banking & Finance, Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, CISSP, CRISC, AAIA, or equivalent will be highly regarded.
- Extensive experience in Technology Audit, Technology Risk, IT Risk, or Cybersecurity Assurance within the financial services industry.
- Proven track record leading technology audit engagements and supervising audit teams.
- Strong technical knowledge across cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, application development, enterprise technology, and technology risk management, with deep expertise in at least one domain.
- Experience managing audits across multiple regulated entities or complex organisational structures is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of enterprise risk management, strategic thinking, and sound risk-based decision making.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in resource planning, people management, coaching, and talent development.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior management, Board committees, regulators, and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of data analytics, audit automation, AI-enabled auditing techniques, and emerging AI-related technology risks.
- High level of integrity, independence, professional scepticism, resilience, and commitment to continuous learning.
