Margie The Market Bar is a vibrant neighbourhood bar located within Margaret Market. We are passionate about creating a welcoming atmosphere with great drinks, good food, and exceptional customer service.

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Full-Time Cashier to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service.
• Operate the POS system and process cash, card, and digital payments accurately.
• Handle customer enquiries professionally and efficiently.
• Ensure cash floats and daily transactions are balanced.
• Issue receipts and maintain accurate sales records.
• Coordinate with the bar and service team to ensure smooth operations.
• Keep the cashier counter clean, organised, and well-stocked.
• Assist with opening and closing duties.
• Support the team with other operational tasks when required.

Requirements

• Previous cashier or customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using POS systems and handling cash transactions.
• Friendly, honest, and detail-oriented.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work weekends, public holidays, and rotating shifts.
