Public Listed Energy Company Is Hiring An Accountant [KL region]

My client is a public-listed energy company with a strong presence across Asia. They are currently seeking an experienced Accountant to take ownership of full sets of accounts and support the business through its next phase of growth.


Your new role

• Assist in the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in compliance with MFRS and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the tax planning, audit processes, and statutory filings.
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly financial reports for Bursa announcements and relevant board papers.
• Liaise with auditors for the yearly audit, preparation of financial statements and assist in the preparation of the Annual Report.
• Assist in preparation of tax estimates and liaise with tax agents for statutory tax submission.
• Liaise with banks, auditors, tax agents, and other external stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, processes, and internal controls.

• Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is typically required.
• A professional membership is required for this position, ie ACCA, CPA, MIA.
• Experience: Minimum 4 to 5 years of working experience within External Audit, reaching Assistant Manager level.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is essential for managing financial data and reports.
• Attention to Detail: Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are critical for ensuring accuracy in financial records and transactions.
• Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary for interacting with vendors and internal stakeholders.
