My client is a Medical Devices Manufacturing Company, they are one of Singapore’s top contract manufacturers based in Singapore, Malaysia and China.
Primary Function : To provide support in all aspects of Human Resource Management.
1. Recruitment & Selection
- Prepare job description and liaise with agency for advertisement.
- Responsible for the hiring plans, recruitment and selection of temporary/contract/non-exempt positions, liaison with operations on their manpower requirements, etc.
- Prepare Appointment Letter and arrange pre-employment health screening (if required).
- Involved in issuing and maintenance of locker keys, safety apparels, etc.
- Open file for new employees and update of employees’ profile
- Prepare employment certification letter as requested.
2. Cessation Of Employment
- Upon receipt of resignation letters, liaise with Account Department on salary payment, etc.
- Conduct exit interviews for non-exempt staff.
- Ensure all company issuances are returned on employee's last day of work.
- Prepare documents for cancellation of work permit for Foreign Workers.
3. Foreign Workers Facilitation
- Handle all Work Permit / Employment Pass applications for foreign workers.
4. Employee Welfare and Benefits
- Liaise and work with all levels of employees, where required, to maintain standards of employee welfare, note complaints and recommend suggestions for improvements and trouble shoot problems.
5. Training Course Administration
- Assist in training related matters: course sourcing, course registration, raise cheque payment, send confirmation note to employee undergoing training, process SDF claims and other training matters
6. Miscellaneous
- Conduct orientation for new hires
- Conduct Performance Appraisal for annual/confirmation review
- Process payroll every month, print payslips and reports for Management.
- Update and administer all leaves issues.
- Perform clerical duties like typing, filing, etc.
- Plan and organize filing system for easy retrieval of data.
- Undertake Receptionist duties
- Maintain supply of department stationery and process purchase requisitions.
- Responsible for co-coordinating documentation of ISO9001:2000 & ISO13485, SOPs, Organization Chart, etc.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in payroll and recruitment.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Proven experience handling payroll and HR operations for a large workforce of approximately 800–1,000 employees.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore payroll practices and employment regulations.
- Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel).
- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willing to work on-site when payroll processing falls on a weekend or public holiday to ensure timely salary payment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
