Job Summary

We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and hands-on Decoration Specialist to join our wedding and events team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, styling, maintaining, and dismantling event decorations for weddings, engagements, corporate functions, religious ceremonies, and other special occasions. The role requires excellent craftsmanship, teamwork, time management, and the ability to deliver beautiful event setups while meeting tight schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and dismantle wedding and event decorations according to approved designs and layouts.
• Install floral arrangements, backdrops, stage decorations, arches, mandaps, aisle décor, centrepieces, entrance décor, lighting, draping, and other decorative elements.
• Ensure all decorations meet the company's quality standards and client expectations.
• Transport, load, unload, and handle decoration materials safely.
• Conduct site inspections before events for venue requirements and logistics.
• Coordinate with the operations team to ensure timely setup and event readiness within the stipulated timeline.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of decoration items before and after events.
• Inspect decorations for damage and report items requiring repair or replacement.
• Assist in creating new decoration concepts and improving existing designs.
• Ensure proper storage and inventory management of materials and equipment.
• Follow workplace safety procedures during installation and dismantling.
• Resolve minor on-site issues professionally and efficiently.
• Assist other departments whenever operational support is required.
• Carry out deco mock-ups for client’s viewing.
• Maintain, update and stock take inventory periodically.

Requirements

• Minimum GCE N/O Level, SPM or equivalent.
• Previous experience in wedding and event decorations is a MUST
• Good sense of aesthetics, colour coordination, and design.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy decoration equipment.
• Willing to work weekends, public holidays, and extended hours during events.
• Possess a positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Class 3 driving licence is an advantage.
