JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Sustainability Intern to support our upcoming EcoVadis ESG assessment and assist with day-to-day facilities management and workplace initiatives for a period of 6 months.

This role bridges operational facilities tracking (energy, waste, safety, site initiatives) with corporate ESG compliance — gathering the real-world data and proof required across EcoVadis’s core pillars: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. EcoVadis Assessment & ESG Documentation (50%)

• Evidence Mapping & Filing: Review, organize, and catalog internal corporate policies, SOPs, ISO certificates (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001), and audit reports into the EcoVadis repository.
• Document Audit: Ensure supporting evidence meets EcoVadis validity guidelines (e.g., correct scope, active dates, formal management approval/ signatures).
• Questionnaire Support: Assist in drafting narrative explanations and matching uploaded evidence to EcoVadis platform questions.

2. Facilities Data & Operational Support (35%)

• Utility & Carbon Data Tracking: Collect, verify, and consolidate monthly site data (electricity/ fuel usage, water consumption, and waste disposal manifests) for carbon accounting and Scope 1 & 2 tracking.
• WSH & Safety Metrics: Assist in gathering Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) logs, incident records, fire safety inspection reports, and employee safety training sign-off sheets.
• Facilities Initiatives: Support local office/ facility programs such as e-waste recycling drives, energy-efficiency projects, vendor site inspections, and green workplace campaigns.

3. Vendor &Procurement Outreach (15%)

• Assist in contacting facilities contractors and key tier-1 logistics suppliers to collect signed Supplier Codes of Conduct, safety certifications, or environmental declarations.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently pursuing tertiary education in the field of Supply Chain/ Logistics Management, Environmental Science & Sustainability, Business Administration (ESG Focus), Facility Management, Sustainable Engineering, or related fields.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data formatting, formulas, metric consolidation).
• Basic understanding of office/ facility operations, green building practices, or ISO standards (ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 / ISO 9001) is a strong advantage.
• High attention to details (spotting missing dates, unsigned documents, or missing audit logs).
• Strong administrative and organizational skills for digital document control.
• Good interpersonal skills for reaching out to internal department leads and external facilities contractors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $900.00 - $1,000.00 per month
