SUMMARY
The Technician PV Solar Installer is responsible for supporting the installation, wiring, testing, and maintenance of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This role requires hands-on work at project sites and collaboration with technical teams to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient installations in line with engineering specifications and safety standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install and wire solar PV systems, including assembling mounting structures according to engineering designs and layout plans.
- Assist in troubleshooting and performing maintenance on solar equipment and systems.
- Support wiremen in identifying proper methods for laying out, positioning, and securing solar panels or arrays to ensure optimal installation and electrical configuration.
- Safely and efficiently operate hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
- Carry out routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure systems operate safely and effectively, in compliance with relevant electrical and safety standards.
- Learn and apply drone camera operations on-site for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Ensure proper site housekeeping, including cleanup after installation work is completed.
QUALIFICATION
- Minimum qualification: SPM, SKVM, or an equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 0 years in solar installation, electrical works, or related technical fields (Diploma level may be considered with relevant internship or training experience).
- Physically fit with the ability to work at project sites.
- Willing to travel to various job locations when required.
Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM3,400.00 per month
