Position : Senior Electronics Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Taman Perindustrian Batu Kawan, 14100 Simpang Ampat, Seberang Perai Selatan, Penang

What You'll Be Doing
Manufacturing Process Engineering
- Act as the key technical manufacturing interface between the business and contract manufacturers
- Design, optimize, and improve manufacturing processes, production flow, tooling, and equipment utilization
- Drive process validation, manufacturing transfers, and new process implementation activities
- Support electronic manufacturing processes, including PCBA assembly, electrical assembly, and product testing
- Ensure manufacturing operations comply with Medical Device Regulations and quality standards
Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective action activities for manufacturing issues
- Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and analytical tools to drive operational improvements
- Identify process optimization opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and productivity
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across multiple manufacturing sites
- Monitor equipment and manufacturing performance to maintain product quality and reliability
Contract Manufacturer & Supplier Management
- Oversee technical manufacturing activities across a network of contract manufacturing partners
- Collaborate with suppliers producing finished medical devices, including labeling and packaging operations
- Provide day-to-day technical support and guidance to manufacturing partners
- Drive supplier process improvements and manufacturing readiness initiatives
- Manage multiple engineering projects and improvement portfolios simultaneously
Global Project & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with cross-functional teams across Penang, Scotland, Mexico, and China
- Lead project timelines, deliverables, and process improvement programs
- Present technical findings, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders
- Support manufacturing strategy and business-critical initiatives globally
What We're Looking For
Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
4-5 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience
Strong background in Electronics Manufacturing
Hands-on experience with:
- PCBA Manufacturing
- Electronic Components
- Electrical Assemblies
- Product Testing
- Manufacturing Process Development
Mandatory experience within:
OR
- Highly regulated industries such as Electronics or Aerospace
Strong knowledge of Medical Device Regulations and regulatory compliance requirements
Experience supporting Contract Manufacturing environments
Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
Practical experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills
Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing abilities
Fluent in English and Mandarin to support regional suppliers and stakeholders
