Job Responsibilities
- Design structural systems for buildings and infrastructure projects, including reinforced concrete, structural steel, foundations, and temporary works.
- Perform structural analysis and calculations for beams, columns, slabs, foundations, retaining structures, and other structural components.
- Assess structural loads, including dead loads, live loads, wind loads, and other relevant design forces.
- Prepare and review structural drawings, calculations, design reports, technical specifications, and construction details.
- Ensure structural designs comply with applicable building codes, engineering standards, client requirements, and statutory regulations.
- Coordinate structural designs with architectural, civil, mechanical, electrical, façade, and other engineering disciplines.
- Review shop drawings, material submissions, method statements, and technical proposals submitted by contractors and subcontractors.
- Conduct site inspections to verify that structural works are carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
- Provide technical support during construction and resolve structural design or site-related issues.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and relevant authorities.
- Monitor structural work progress, quality, safety, and compliance with the project schedule.
- Prepare technical reports, inspection records, calculations, and project documentation.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Between 1 and 7 years of relevant structural design or construction experience.
- Fresh graduates with relevant structural engineering qualifications may also be considered.
- Good understanding of reinforced concrete, steel structures, foundations, and structural analysis.
- Familiarity with structural design codes and Hong Kong construction standards would be an advantage.
- Experience using structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, Tekla, or equivalent would be preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or other engineering drafting software.
- Strong analytical, technical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese would be an added advantage.
- Must be willing to work and relocate to Hong Kong.
Compensation and Benefits
The following benefits apply to all three positions:
- Annual Remuneration: RM205,000 to RM300,000 per year, inclusive of a 13-month bonus.
- Performance Bonus: Additional bonus subject to company and individual performance.
- Work Permit Assistance: Support will be provided for the work permit application.
- Starting Allowance: RM6,000 for transportation and 14 days of initial accommodation.
