- Act as first point of contact for MR&I engineers and end users experiencing application issues; log, prioritise, and manage tickets in line with agreed SLAs.
- Perform root cause analysis on recurring issues and document resolutions and workarounds.
- Escalate and coordinate with software vendors and IT development teams on complex technical issues.
System Monitoring & Maintenance
- Monitor system health, performance, and data integrity across MR&I applications to ensure uptime and reliability.
- Administer updates, patches, and configuration changes in coordination with IT and vendor teams.
- Manage user access, roles, and permissions within MR&I systems.
- Support data quality checks and data migration activities as systems are upgraded or integrated.
Collaboration & Project Support
- Work closely with MR&I engineers (reliability, corrosion, pipeline integrity) to understand operational requirements and translate them into system improvements.
- Support the rollout of new modules, upgrades, or integrations, including user acceptance testing (UAT) and training.
- Liaise with IT Infrastructure, Development, and Project Delivery teams to keep stakeholders informed of progress and issues.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in application support, IT operations, or systems administration, ideally within an oil & gas, energy, or engineering environment.
- Familiarity with asset integrity management systems (e.g. Meridium/APM, AMS, or similar reliability/inspection platforms) is highly advantageous.
- Working knowledge of SQL, system logs, and performance monitoring tools.
- Experience with patch management, system configuration, and user access administration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tickets/priorities under time pressure.
