Job Summary
A Process Engineer Intern supports the Process Engineering team in optimizing and improving manufacturing cleaning processes. The intern will gain hands-on exposure to WDMCL, SMD, PSC, Cassette Washer, OSA, or Auto Titrator operations, assisting engineers with yield, cost, quality, and pph improvement activities. This role provides foundational experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment and develops technical competencies under the guidance of senior engineers. The assigned scope may be adjusted depending on the organization's business needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in cleaning process improvement activities for WDMCL, SMD, PSC, Cassette Washer, or Auto Titrator for existing and new products.
- Support data monitoring, collection and analysis for media cleaning cost reduction projects.
- Support Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) activities by collecting data and updating records.
- Participate in daily yield improvement meetings, weekly Cleaning Virtual Global Con calls and weekly Asia Cleaning Team Activities progress updates.
- Assist engineers in troubleshooting process issues and performing root cause analysis, while following all safety and heath guidelines.
- Support cross-functional coordination with FA, Contamination, NPI, and Development teams as assigned.
- Help maintain and organize process-related data, reports, and records.
- Conduct basic technical sharing sessions on assigned cleaning process topics.
- Support ISO compliance activities as directed by the engineering team.
REQUIRED:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Material Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
PREFERRED:
- Basic knowledge of wet cleaning processes, chemical handling, or semiconductor/media manufacturing is an added advantage.
- Prior laboratory or clean room experience is a plus.
