Position Summary
We are seeking a Principal Subsea Engineer to provide technical leadership in the engineering and delivery of complex deepwater SURF (Subsea Umbilicals, Risers, and Flowlines) developments. You will oversee subsea systems spanning pipelines, risers, flexibles, structures, and installation interfaces throughout all project phases.
Ideal candidates will have substantial experience in large-scale offshore EPCIC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation, and Commissioning) projects within deepwater environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead subsea engineering activities across SURF projects.
- Develop subsea engineering philosophies, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate engineering interfaces between pipelines, risers, flexibles, structures, and installation.
- Review and approve engineering calculations and design deliverables.
- Support concept selection, FEED verification, and detailed engineering activities.
- Participate in design reviews, HAZID, HAZOP, and technical risk assessments.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineering teams.
- Liaise with clients, vendors, and project stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Extensive experience in subsea engineering within offshore Oil & Gas projects.
- Strong background in deepwater SURF developments.
- Experience with offshore engineering standards and subsea design methodologies.
- Knowledge of pipeline, riser, flexible, and installation engineering.
- Experience supporting multidisciplinary EPCIC projects.
- Previous experience with internationally recognised offshore engineering contractors is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
