Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Cost Estimation & Planning: Calculating quantities, material costs, labor, and time requirements to prepare accurate budgets and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
- Tendering & Contracting: Preparing tender documents, contracts, and negotiating with contractors and suppliers to secure the best prices.
- Cost Control & Reporting: Monitoring project progress against the budget, conducting valuations of work completed, and providing regular cost reports to stakeholders.
- Risk Management: Identifying financial risks, managing variations, and implementing cost-saving measures.
- Final Account Negotiation: Managing the final settlement of accounts upon project completion
Key Requirements & Skills
- Education: A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or civil engineering.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in measuring construction work, understanding architectural drawings, and using construction software (e.g., Candy, MS Excel).
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction methods, building regulations, and contract law (e.g., FIDIC, NEC).
- Competencies: Strong numerical ability, attention to detail, negotiation prowess, and communication skills.
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
