Experienced Veterinary Technician / Senior Veterinary Nurse Wanted

We are looking for an experienced, skilled, and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team in Jurong. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys not only providing exceptional patient care but also mentoring and developing junior veterinary nurses and support staff.

Our clinic will be part of a medium-sized veterinary clinic providing medical and more advanced surgical care, managing cases that extend beyond routine vaccinations and basic consultations.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with consultations, reception duties, medical procedures, and surgeries to ensure smooth clinical operations
• Perform blood collection and place intravenous catheters accurately to support diagnostics and treatment
• Monitor anaesthesia levels continuously during surgical procedures to maintain patient safety
• Provide nursing care for hospitalised patients, including monitoring vital signs and administering treatments
• Support diagnostic and imaging procedures by preparing patients and equipment for accurate results
• Mentor and coach junior veterinary nurses and support staff to develop their clinical skills and confidence
• Develop advanced skills in dental radiography, dental scaling and polishing, cystocentesis, and ultrasonography as opportunities arise

Required competencies and certifications

• Proven experience as a Veterinary Technician or Senior Veterinary Nurse
• Relevant veterinary nursing qualification and any required licensing or certification

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Strong clinical skills and confidence in handling a wide range of medical and surgical cases
• Passion for teaching, coaching, and developing junior team members
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
• Positive attitude and commitment to delivering outstanding patient and client care.
