Position Overview

The QA Technician supports Quality Assurance and Engineering activities by performing inspections, testing, and failure analysis to ensure products meet required specifications and quality standards. This role involves hands-on inspection work, accurate documentation, and support of wafer processing and failure analysis laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and outgoing inspections on materials, components, and finished products.
• Conduct visual and measurement tests to verify product specifications and quality requirements.
• Document inspection and test results accurately in reports, logs and quality databases.
• Approve or reject products based on inspection results and issue non-conforming material reports when required.
• Support in-process and final product approvals, including verification of re-worked items.
• Assist in failure analysis activities and support critical engineering evaluations.
• Maintain controlled documents, inspection records, and failure analysis documentation in an orderly and timely manner.
• Support maintenance and housekeeping of the failure analysis laboratory.
• Follow safety guidelines and good housekeeping practices at all times.
• Work under the supervision of the QA Manager to meet response time and quality objectives.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum GCE ‘O’ Levels or equivalent secondary school education.
• Experience in a wafer fabrication facility or IC Failure Analysis Lab is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Willing and able to work 12-hour day and night shifts.

Technical & Professional Skills

• Ability to use microscopes and standard QA inspection tools.
• Basic knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 quality systems.
• Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Attention to detail with strong accuracy in inspection and measurement judgment.
