Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Manager role based in Singapore. The Assistant Manager will support day-to-day operations, including coordinating scaffolding projects, monitoring work progress, and ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements. The role involves supervising teams, organizing work schedules, managing documentation, and liaising with clients, contractors, and internal departments to resolve operational issues. The Assistant Manager will assist with resource planning, inventory control, and cost monitoring, while contributing to process improvements and quality assurance. The position requires hands-on involvement at job sites, regular reporting to management, and active participation in safety and operational meetings.
Qualifications

  • Strong operational and supervisory skills, including experience coordinating site activities and managing teams in construction or related industries.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety practices, scaffolding or construction standards, and compliance with local regulations in Singapore.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with clients, contractors, and colleagues at all levels.
  • Organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Basic proficiency in office software (e.g., MS Office) and comfort with documentation, reporting, and record-keeping.
  • Relevant diploma or degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Prior experience in scaffolding, construction, or industrial operations is an advantage.
  • Ability to work on-site in varying conditions and commit to a full-time schedule.
