Hiring: Equipment Engineer | Batu Kawan, Penang

Location: Batu Kawan, 14110 Simpang Ampat, Penang

Position: Equipment Engineer

Contract Duration: 12 Months (Renewable based on performance)

Salary: RM3,500 – RM5,500

Key Responsibilities

Install, commission, and qualify new equipment and production lines

Perform machine setup, validation, and qualification activities

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, electronic, and PLC-related issues

Support preventive maintenance and continuous process improvement initiatives

Collaborate with vendors and suppliers on equipment integration projects

Optimize machine parameters to improve yield, efficiency, and performance

Prepare technical reports, validation protocols, and equipment documentation

Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements

Requirements

️ Degree from a recognized university

️ 2-5 years of relevant experience in equipment engineering

️ Strong hands-on experience in equipment setup, commissioning, qualification, and troubleshooting

️ Experience with equipment installation, maintenance, and validation activities

️ Knowledge of PLC programming and hardware interfacing is an added advantage

️ Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment with strong documentation and compliance practices, preferably within the Medical Device Industry

️ Stable career history with no frequent job hopping

️ Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

️ Please note: Candidates whose experience is primarily focused on preventive maintenance (PM), spare parts management, or equipment administration may not be suitable for this role. We are specifically looking for engineers with strong technical expertise in equipment setup, commissioning, validation, and troubleshooting.
