Job Description

Responsibilities

We are seeking a professional Sales Engineer with solid technical knowledge of generator sets and power system equipment. This role combines technical expertise and business sales capabilities, responsible for the full sales cycle of diesel generators, spare parts, maintenance service and turnkey power projects.

The Sales Engineer will develop new corporate clients, maintain existing customer relationships, provide professional technical consultation, prepare technical proposals and commercial quotations, and finally achieve company sales targets.


Responsibilities
1. Technical Sales & Consultation

  • Provide professional technical consultation for clients on generator selection, power load calculation, system matching, noise reduction, parallel operation and containerized solution design.

  • Analyze client project requirements (construction site, factory backup power, emergency power, data center, rental fleet, industrial power demand).

  • Recommend suitable generator models, configuration options, control systems, ATS/parallel cabinets and auxiliary equipment.

2. Quotation, Proposal & Tender Support

  • Prepare formal technical proposals, commercial quotations, BOQ and solution documents.

  • Support tender bidding processes, including document compilation, technical response, tender clarification and bidding follow-up.

  • Conduct cost calculation, profit analysis and pricing strategy submission.

3. Customer Development & Relationship Management

  • Develop new customers including engineering companies, contractors, factory owners, rental companies and system integrators.

  • Maintain regular communication with existing clients, follow up project progress, repeat orders and after-sales cooperation opportunities.

  • Build long-term stable business partnerships.

4. Project Follow-up & Order Execution

  • Track order production progress, delivery schedule and customer payment status.

  • Coordinate with technical department, workshop and logistics team to ensure project delivery quality and timeline.

  • Solve technical doubts and on-site coordination problems during project implementation.

5. Market Analysis & Competitor Research

  • Collect market trends, industry demand, competitor pricing and new product information.

  • Provide feedback for company product upgrading, pricing adjustment and sales strategy optimization.

Requirements
1. Education & Major

  • Diploma or Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation or Power System related disciplines.

2. Professional Skills

  • Familiar with diesel generator structure, engine brands, alternator brands, control systems and power system principles.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, able to write professional proposals and technical documents.

3. Work Experience

  • Minimum 1–3 years sales engineer experience in generator, power equipment or mechanical engineering industry.

  • Candidates with generator industry experience or engineering project sales background are preferred.

4. Personal Competencies

  • Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.

  • Result-oriented, able to independently develop customers and close deals.

  • Responsible, proactive and able to work under sales target pressure.

  • Willing to travel for client visits and project inspections.
