Job Description

About the Role

Ocean Purpose Project is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Events Organiser Intern to support the planning and execution of sustainability-focused events, workshops, community engagement programmes, and environmental campaigns. This internship offers hands-on experience in event management, stakeholder coordination, community outreach, and project execution within the sustainability sector.

The intern will work closely with internal teams, volunteers, partners, and community members to deliver impactful experiences that promote ocean conservation, environmental awareness, and social impact.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing events, workshops, beach cleanups, and community engagement programmes.
• Support event logistics, including venue coordination, registration, scheduling, and participant management.
• Liaise with partners, volunteers, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth event operations.
• Assist in preparing event materials, presentations, promotional content, and participant communications.
• Support on-site event management, including setup, coordination, and post-event wrap-up.
• Track event attendance, feedback, and impact metrics.
• Assist in documenting events through photography, videography, and reporting.
• Support outreach and promotional activities to increase event participation and engagement.
• Contribute creative ideas to enhance participant experiences and event outcomes.

Requirements

• Final-year student, recent graduate, or currently pursuing studies in Event Management, Communications, Marketing, Business, Hospitality, Public Relations, Sustainability, or related disciplines.
• Passionate about sustainability, ocean conservation, community engagement, and social impact.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and resourceful.
• Comfortable working on-site during events, including weekends when required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and event management tools is an advantage.
• Candidates based in Singapore will be preferred.
