Role Summary

We are looking for a proactive and technically strong Application Support Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will provide frontline application support while also stepping into deeper L2 troubleshooting when needed. You will play a key role in ensuring system stability, resolving issues efficiently, and continuously improving application performance for our business users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide L1 application support including incident logging, triage, and resolution within SLA
• Escalate and handle L2 issues when required, including in-depth troubleshooting
• Diagnose and resolve issues across application, database, and integration layers
• Perform minor bug fixes, enhancements, and support-related coding
• Support APIs, system integrations, and data flows
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability
• Collaborate with developers, infrastructure teams, and business users
• Maintain documentation, knowledge base, and support procedures
• Support deployments, releases, and change management activities

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in application support (L1/L2 environment)
• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline
• Strong troubleshooting skills with ability to analyse and resolve issues end-to-end
• Experience supporting business users in SLA-driven environments
• Proficiency in VB6, VB.NET, ASP.NET, C#, and .NET Core with debugging experiences
• Experience with PHP and web technologies
• Solid understanding of APIs and web services (REST, JSON, SOAP, XML)
• Strong SQL skills (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) with reporting tools (SSIS, SSRS, Crystal Reports)
• Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell, VBScript) and version control (GitHub)
• Knowledge of modern frontend frameworks (Vue.js, React, Node.js)
• Experience supporting Shopify / Shopify Plus platforms

Additional remarks

• Will need to be stationed in JB branch for estimated a month as need to work closely with our ecommerce backend to setup the marketplace platform
• Travelling needed subsequently once a month for first few months, and once every 2 months or quarterly)
• Occasionally travelling to SG HQ for meeting or training or support when required
• Must be able to work on weekend by rostering (standby) & during PH if the outlets are opened as well

Additional Advantage:

• Experience with OutSystems or other low-code platforms
• Exposure to cloud and container technologies (Azure, Docker, Kubernetes)

Pay: RM6,500.00 - RM9,500.00 per month
