DUG has the best software support in the industry. We pride ourselves in understanding our clients' issues, and providing fast, detailed solutions. We are looking for individuals with diverse experiences, strengths, and interests. The Support team is not a call centre, and we don't work from scripts. Support Geophysicists deal directly with our clients to resolve issues and provide direct input to new DUG Insight features.

You'll have the opportunity to solve problems, build relationships with industry professionals, and work in a team that values everyone's contribution.

We're looking for a professional to join our seismic processing and imaging Support Team. The ideal candidate has good English skills, a geophysical background, seismic processing and imaging experience, an interest in computing, and a love for solving puzzles!

List Of Responsibilities (not Necessarily Exhaustive)

  • Mentor and support junior team members.
  • Provide assistance and solutions for clients (internal & external) via the ticketing system.
  • Document lessons learnt and solutions.
  • Contribute to training material.
  • Provide input to best practice documentation.
  • Run and support client evaluation projects.
  • Multi-task as required depending on workloads.
  • Maintain flexibility to provide limited overlap with other time zones in certain situations.
  • Undertake learning of multiple disciplines in parallel.
  • Undertake R&D projects, reporting to superiors and presenting results.
  • Communicate often and effectively with global support team.
  • Feedback client requests for additional software features.
  • Undertake special assignments, ad-hoc projects and related duties as assigned.
  • Comply with the Company's HSE regulations and policies.

About You

  • BSc, MSc or PhD in Geophysics, Geoscience, Physics, Maths, Electrical Engineering with a Physics background, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience of DUG Insight
  • Knowledge of, and experience working with geoscience software / applications.
  • High level of computer proficiency.
  • Excellent in presentation, communication and writing skills; fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Organised, attention to detail, and able to produce accurate work.
  • Motivated to complete assigned responsibilities within set deadlines.
  • Ability to diagnose and remedy problems.
  • Able to work effectively with the stakeholders to address the technical issues in a timely manner.
