Job Description

Responsibilities

We are a leading global investment firm managing assets across multiple strategies, including private equity, public equities, fixed income, and real assets. Innovation, integrity, and operational excellence drive our success. As data becomes increasingly foundational to our investment strategies and operational efficiency, we are scaling our enterprise data capabilities to ensure total data integrity, compliance and strategic accessibility.

  • Design, implement, and continuously mature the global data governance framework, policies, and standards across the investment lifecycle.
  • Establish rigorous data control mechanisms, data quality metrics, and exception-management workflows to ensure accuracy across market, reference, and alternative data sets.
  • Partner closely with Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to ensure adherence to global financial regulations (e.g., MAS guidelines, BCBS 239, GDPR/PDPA).
  • Oversee the implementation of enterprise data lineage, data dictionaries, and metadata management tools. Establish and lead a robust network of business data stewards.
  • Collaborate with technology teams and business business units (Front, Middle, and Back Office) to ensure data architecture supports scalable business growth and advanced analytics.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Minimum 8–12 years of experience in data governance, data management, or operational risk within a global financial institution, investment bank, or asset manager.
  • Deep understanding of investment data domains (e.g., portfolio analytics, ESG data, reference data, corporate actions) and financial market instruments.
  • Familiarity with modern data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation) and cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS) is highly advantageous.
  • Proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders and driving cultural change around data ownership without direct authority.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
