We’re Hiring: L2 Data Center Operations Engineers (Contract – Johor Bahru)

We are looking for L2 Data Center Operations Engineers to support large-scale data center environments in Johor Bahru.

Role Details:

• Duration: 12-month contract
• Location: Johor Bahru, Malaysia
• Start Date: August 2026 (open to candidates with notice period)
• Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Malaysia calendar)
• Experience: 3+ Years

Standby Support:

• Engineers may be required for standby support during major campaign periods (12 annually), with advance notice provided.

Requirements

• Diploma or higher in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Hands-on experience in Data Center Operations
• Strong knowledge of server hardware, networking, and facility environments
• Ability to work independently under pressure
• Fast learner with adaptability to new technologies
• Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage

Key Responsibilities

• Data Center Operations & Server Maintenance
• Server installation, mounting, and acceptance checks
• Routine patrols and failure drill exercises

Hardware & System Support

• Troubleshooting, diagnostics, and component replacement
• OS-level checks, log analysis, and system recovery
• Support for out-of-warranty equipment

Network & Infrastructure

• Network device deployment and maintenance
• Coordination with carriers and facility providers

Asset & Inventory Management

• Inventory tracking (production & spare units)
• Documentation and asset lifecycle management

Facility Coordination

• Rack power coordination and incident response
• Environmental checks and facility maintenance support

Cabling & Remote Support

• Structured cabling, tagging, and validation
• VM provisioning, IP configuration, and remote troubleshooting

General Support

• Vendor coordination, reporting, and documentation
