Job Title: Accounts Receivable (AR) Collections – Contractor
Department: Finance – Accounts Receivable
Role Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented AR Collections Contractor to manage customer accounts and ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices. This role plays a critical part in improving cash flow, reducing overdue receivables, and maintaining strong customer relationships while resolving billing and payment issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor a portfolio of customer accounts to ensure timely collections
- Conduct proactive follow-ups via calls, emails, and other communication channels
- Track overdue invoices and negotiate payment commitments with customers
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, disputes, and payment issues
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and Billing teams for issue resolution
- Reconcile customer accounts and ensure accurate cash application
- Maintain detailed records and collection notes in ERP/collection systems
- Escalate high-risk or delinquent accounts when required
- Prepare aging reports, collection updates, and cash flow forecasts
- Achieve collection targets and meet defined KPIs (aging, DSO, productivity)
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and financial controls
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance collection efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable / Collections / O2C processes
- Strong understanding of AR aging, collections cycle, and cash application
- Experience handling customer disputes and payment follow-ups
