Job Summary

The Excavator Operator is responsible for operating excavators safely and efficiently to perform excavation, trenching, loading, grading, and other earthworks activities in accordance with project requirements while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate excavators safely and efficiently for construction and earthworks activities.
• Perform excavation, trenching, backfilling, grading, and loading of materials.
• Conduct daily pre-start inspections and report any defects or mechanical issues.
• Ensure the excavator is kept clean, fueled, and properly maintained.
• Follow instructions from the Site Supervisor and Site Engineer.
• Comply with all site safety rules, company SOPs, and relevant regulations.
• Assist in minor preventive maintenance and coordinate with the maintenance team for repairs.
• Ensure work is completed according to project specifications and schedule.
• Maintain accurate daily equipment operation records, if required.
• Work closely with ground personnel to ensure safe excavation activities.
• Stop work immediately if unsafe conditions are identified and report them to the supervisor.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

Job Requirements

• Minimum SPM or equivalent.
• Valid Malaysian Driving Licence (Class I or relevant licence).
• Minimum 2 years of experience operating excavators in construction, road maintenance, or infrastructure projects.
• Good knowledge of excavation techniques and equipment safety.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit and willing to work overtime or travel to project sites when required.

Working Conditions

• Based at construction or infrastructure project sites.

• May be required to work overtime, weekends, or public holidays based on project requirements.
• Must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.

• Safe operation with zero preventable accidents.
• Completion of excavation works according to schedule.
• Compliance with safety and operational procedures.
• Proper care and maintenance of assigned equipment.
• Minimal equipment downtime due to operator negligence.
• Positive teamwork and cooperation with site personnel.

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,300.00 per month
