Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Accountant role based in Singapore. The Senior Accountant will oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, month-end and year-end closings, and preparation of accurate financial statements. The role will involve managing budgeting and forecasting processes, monitoring financial performance, and supporting internal reporting for management and group requirements. The Senior Accountant will ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls, while coordinating with auditors, tax advisors, and other external partners. The position will also support process improvements, system enhancements, and cross-functional collaboration with finance, operations, and senior leadership to enable informed business decisions.
Qualifications
- Strong technical accounting skills, including general ledger management, financial reporting, and familiarity with IFRS or other relevant accounting standards.
- Proficiency with accounting and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and variance reporting to support management decision-making.
- Knowledge of tax regulations, statutory reporting requirements, and internal control frameworks, with experience managing audits.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA) is highly preferred.
- Several years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including exposure to media, entertainment, or subscription-based businesses.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural, fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and commitment to maintaining accurate financial records and confidential information.
