Job Description

Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE:

  • Participates in the planning, execution, testing, troubleshooting, and handover of Instrumentation, Control & Telecommunication (ICT) Systems.
  • Assists senior engineers in commissioning activities, technical reviews, system verification, and documentation to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant project delivery in line with project specifications and client requirements.


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the preparation of commissioning plans, procedures, test packs, and checklists for Instrumentation, Control & Telecommunication (ICT) systems.
  • Support the verification of construction completion and follow up on punch list items prior to commissioning activities.
  • Perform calibration, loop checking, I/O verification, and functional testing of instruments, control systems, and telecommunication equipment under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Participate in the commissioning and startup activities of Process Control Systems, Emergency Shutdown Systems (ESD), Fire & Gas Systems, and Telecommunication Systems.
  • Assist in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and system integration testing activities with vendors and project stakeholders.
  • Support troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues encountered during commissioning and startup phases.
  • Comply with HSE requirements, permit-to-work systems, and safe work practices during all commissioning activities. Coordinate with construction personnel, vendors, and other disciplines to facilitate commissioning activities and resolve interface issues.
  • Prepare, update, and maintain commissioning records, test reports, punch lists, and handover documentation.
  • Provide technical assistance during operator training sessions and support the handover of systems to operations and maintenance teams.
  • Work closely with senior commissioning engineers and technicians to gain technical knowledge and contribute to successful project execution.


REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATION:

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in Instrumentation, Control & Telecommunication (ICT), commissioning, construction, maintenance, or engineering activities within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Marine, or Energy industries.
  • Exposure to Offshore Oil & Gas EPC/EPCIC projects, commissioning activities, or industrial plant operations is an advantage.
  • FPSO/FSO experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Relevant recognized qualifications – Minimum Bachelor’s Degree Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering or related discipline.
  • Participation in at least one (1) Oil & Gas, Offshore, Petrochemical, Marine, or Energy project through engineering, construction, commissioning, startup, or operations phases is an added advantage.
