Gateway Search Hiring! Full Time QMS Engineer in Selangor - Ricebowl

Our client is a fast-growing, global lithium-ion battery manufacturer expanding its production facility in Serendah, Selangor. They're looking for a QMS Engineer to help build, maintain, and continuously strengthen the company's quality management system across the plant.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Shape the company's overall quality system framework — drafting, refining, and continuously improving quality documentation to keep operations aligned with quality system standards.
• Plan and run the annual internal audit and management review cycle, ensuring the quality system stays relevant, adequate, and effective, and keeping proper records of each review and audit.
• Work with different departments to build out quality management processes, streamlining them over time to improve day-to-day efficiency.
• Organize external quality system reviews and certification audits, helping ensure smooth outcomes with third-party auditors and keeping the company's quality certifications valid.
• Follow the company's EHS policies and procedures, and take part in related programs and training as required.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial) or Quality Management; a Quality Assurance-related certification is an advantage.
• At least 1 year of experience working within quality management systems, ideally within a manufacturing or related industry.
• Good grasp of process optimization concepts and practices.
• Experience leading the implementation of ISO9001, ISO14000, or ISO45001 quality management systems.
• Exposure to other management system standards such as AS9100D or IATF16949 is a plus.
• Strong communication and coordination skills, comfortable building cooperation across different teams.
• Fluent in Mandarin, in addition to English, to support communication with relevant stakeholders.
• Able to work standard hours with flexibility for overtime (Monday–Friday) and occasional Saturday duty based on operational needs.
