Position Summary

Act as the key interface between field installation teams and back-office engineering teams, specializing in installation, testing and commissioning. Ensure engineering issues are identified, communicated, resolved and implemented in accordance with protocols while supporting installation, commissioning and as-built documentation activities.

Key requirement

• Interface between engineering and construction teams.
• Identify engineering gaps, clashes and constructability issues.
• Support technical queries, design modifications, NCRs and change management.
• Review BIM models and identify installation conflicts.
• Support electrical installation activities in shipyard.
• Hands-on experience to prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments (MSRA) and to manage Permit-to-Work (PTW) applications.
• Experience in Installation of Transformers, Switchgears and other related equipment.
• Travel to Batam for knowledge transfer across other HVDC projects.
• Support offshore commissioning and troubleshooting activities.
• Transfer red-line markups to engineering team for final as-built drawings.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 4+ years combined engineering and field installation experience.
• Strong understanding of electrical drawings, cable routing and installation practices.
• Experience interfacing engineering and field teams.
• Experience in Distribution Transformer Commissioning (1 MVA to 33 MVA)
• Experience in Power Transformer Installation and Commissioning (up to 100 MVA)

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD proficiency.
• Engineering change management.
• Electrical installation and commissioning knowledge.
• Documentation and as-built management.

Travel Requirements

• Regular travel to Batam and offshore locations as required.
