About the Role

We are seeking a Marketing & Communications Manager to join our research, advisory, and events team. This is a high-ownership role suited to someone who can lead stakeholder relationships and exercise editorial and creative judgement on behalf of MPA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the marketing and communications strategy for MPA and its event platforms APOS (500+ global attendees), AETHER AI Summit, and APOS Sports Edge - across all digital, social, and earned media channels.
  • Develop and execute high-impact marketing campaigns, manage MPA's website, and maintain a consistent,  senior executive-brand identity across all stakeholder groups.
  • Build and manage relationships with more than 30 regional and global partners, ensuring strong brand representation and successful marketing collaboration at APOS.
  • Work directly with the CEO and events team on the APOS three-day agenda — requiring genuine understanding of media industry content, programming intuition, and editorial judgement.
  • Lead speaker communications with C-suite executives and senior leaders from broadcasters, streaming, sports, and technology organisations.
  • Manage media partnerships with Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, Deadline, and CNBC — ensuring coverage and amplification of key APOS announcements and sessions.
  • Work with the events team to oversee the development of the APOS event app, including managing vendor relationships, sponsor integration, and attendee engagement initiatives.
  • Develop and manage APOS's presence across YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok, creating and editing both long-form and short-form content, with full editorial ownership.
  • Manage MPA's LinkedIn presence with insight-led content for C-suite executives across the media, entertainment, and technology audience in Asia Pacific
  • Manage and contribute to PR & Communications with the MPA team for new reports, products and events

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration from a recognised university (QS Top 50 preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, branding, or public relations
  • Proven experience planning and executing conferences, corporate events, or industry forums from concept through delivery
  • Demonstrated experience managing external agencies, vendors, and media partners
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, content strategy, email marketing, and social media management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, copywriting and editing abilities
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to align marketing initiatives with business objectives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Power BI, Canva, Mailchimp, Framer, HTML/CSS, or website-building platforms is an advantage
  • Curiosity about emerging technologies and AI workflows, and willingness to apply new tools to improve productivity, creativity, and marketing effectiveness
