Role Overview

The Application Engineer is responsible for supporting customers throughout the entire solution lifecycle, from pre-sales consultation to system commissioning, training, troubleshooting, and post-sales technical support. The role encompasses a broad range of technologies, including Test & Measurement Systems, Real-Time Simulation (Power Systems, Power Electronics & Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) Applications), EV Charging Test Solutions, and Power Conversion & Energy Test Systems.

Working closely with customers, technology partners, and the sales team, the Application Engineer plays a key role in ensuring successful solution implementation, optimal system performance, and high levels of customer satisfaction. This position requires a strong technical foundation, a customer-centric mindset, and the ability to deliver effective solutions to complex engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales & Technical Support

• Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and customer discussions
• Support solution sizing, product selection, and proposal preparation
• Assist with technical marketing activities, seminars, and exhibitions

Commissioning & Customer Support

• Perform system installation, setup, commissioning, and onboarding
• Facilitate customer training and getting-started guidance
• Provide technical troubleshooting and coordinate issue resolution with principals

Integration & Product Validation

• Support system integration and application development projects
• Perform incoming equipment inspection and validation
• Maintain demonstration systems and prepare technical documentation

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Power, Mechatronics, Automation, or Computer Engineering
• 2 - 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in technical support. Knowledge of test and measurement, power systems, power electronics, or industrial automation will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in engineering tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW, Python, or similar platforms is highly desirable
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and customer-facing skills
• Self-motivated, willing to learn new technologies, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team
